MyBackup Pro: A ROM flashers lifesaver – Android and Me

tisdag, april 27th, 2010

valuta serbien forex ”If there is one thing a rooted phone user does most, it’s flashing. What I found most annoying when I first rooted my phone was the lack of good backup software. I could flash three to four times a day trying the latest and greatest of what some new developer was able to port to the G1. The only problem was, when I found a good ROM that I liked, getting it back to the way I had it before was extremely time consuming. Things like changing the notifications and re-downloading all of my applications were taking forever. I had lost hope of finding a good solution until I found MyBackup Pro.

opzioni binarie 60 gratis senza deposito With the latest update, you now have the ability to back up everything to your SD Card or the Online Storage (50mb). This application can back up everything, including your SMS, MMS, Settings and Home Settings. To the stock user this may not even hit your radar, but to an everyday flasher, this is a lifesaver. With MyBackup Pro you can save hours of time and just restore all of your data to your new ROM.

Along with saving a lot of time for rooted users, this application is easy to use. There aren’t a whole lot of options for the user and the interface is pretty straight forward. Once you click on Backup, it’ll ask you exactly what you need, where you want to save it, and get the task done for you. The same speed is noticed in the restore as well. It’s a bulk one click install, which is nice because some of the free apps in the category require you to click “install” for each application you have.”

bTunes: a worthy iPod look-alike mp3 player for Android

tisdag, april 27th, 2010

Btunes main”bTunes is an iPod look-alike application for Android. The entire UI is designed after the iPhone / iPod Touch application, which is one thing Apple is most famous for. From the look and feel of the touch interface to the graphics and functionality, bTunes does leaps and bounds over the stock music player.

It’s easy to build playlists on the go, rearrange the track order within them, add and remove songs at will, and shuffle the entire mix. When the phone is in sleep mode with the screen off, bTunes has a lock-screen overlay that gives easy access to “Next Track”, “Pause” and “Previous Track” buttons, while displaying downloaded album artwork in the background. Nice.

Each time you launch the app, bTunes searches your memory card for new media files automatically, so you’re always up to date with new additions to your music collection. Use the “Recently Added” queue to then take those songs and insert them into your existing playlists.”

How To Keep Track Of Speed & Location With Android

tisdag, april 27th, 2010

”When traveling, or otherwise on the move, you might want to get your exact location. Not just where you are right now, or where you’re going, but also where you’ve been.
For practicing sports, this can prove quite difficult. Have you ever tried mounting a dynamo to a pair of skis? Take it from me; it does not work.
The next step takes us to radar and outdoors GPS technology. And either of those will cost you an arm and a leg.
But there’s another alternative. If you’ve got an Android phone with GPS, there are a ton of free applications that’ll let you get the location of your Android and exactly how fast you were going. Best of all? Using a GPS doesn’t cost a dime, so you can use it to suck your battery dry anywhere in the world!”
